Mobile Grooming

What is Mobile Grooming?

Just what it sounds – I come to you in my mobile grooming van, and groom your dog in my mobile salon.

Why would I opt for Mobile Grooming for my dog?

Some dogs don’t travel well – maybe they get very nauseous in the car, or anxious about going to a new place. This avoids the stress of leaving the house with them. It’s a great choice for senior pets, or pets with health issues. Sometimes the owner may not be able to travel easily, and now they don’t have to. Because your dog has my focused attention for the entire appointment, and is done straight through with no breaks, they will be done in less time than a normal grooming appointment which also helps to reduce the stress to your dog.

Can I watch you groom my dog?

Probably not? The grooming area of the van is quite small, and designed for one person to work in. I’m happy to give you a very small tour of my very small space. If needed, you can sit in the front passenger seat of the van, which will allow you to see into the grooming area.

How does the van work?

I have a full (tiny!) salon inside the van. In order to work, I need a reasonably level space to park – I prefer a driveway, but right in front of your house might work too, and a place to plug in an extension cord. I bathe your dog in the tub, move them to the table to dry them, and do their haircut and nails right there. Most dogs take between an hour and an hour and a half.

How much does it cost?

Mobile Grooming, by its nature, is a premium service, and the price reflects that. Because I can only do one pet at a given time, and have to factor in travel time to and from an appointment, the cost of equipment and insurance, and the limited hours in a day, the cost is definitely higher than what you’d pay if you came to see me in the shop. How much will your particular dog’s grooming cost? You can see my services and pricing page for general information, but I can’t quote an exact price without seeing what condition your pet is in. The minimum cost for a visit is $50.

How far do you travel?

I mostly work within an arc on the north shore that includes Lynn, Saugus, Nahant, Swampscott, Marblehead,Lynnfield, Middleton, Peabody, Danvers, Salem, Beverly, Wenham, Hamilton, and Essex. Live in a town that’s not listed, just a little bit further out? Let me know where you are, and I’ll see if it’s feasible for me to get to you.

Sounds great! How do I schedule?

To schedule an appointment, please call me at (978)219-9727 or email me at groomingbycaitlin@outlook.com. My first step will be to verify your dog’s vaccinations with your veterinarian. After that, we can schedule a time that meets your needs. I look forward to meeting you and your dog!
